The San Juan Islands Climate is fairly temperate.  Because the temperature of the Salt Water surrounding the islands does not vary greatly through the seasons....the Strait of Juan de Fuca Inlet varies in temperature from 40 degrees in the Winter to just above 60 degrees in the Summer...it helps cool the air surrounding the islands.

Most mornings year around will find Foggy, Misty mornings followed by partial clearing and occasional showers.  Evenings are usually warm with a light ocean breeze.

Temperatures range from low 30's in the Winter to mid 80's in the Summer months.

A BRIEF GEOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

The San Juan Islands, a cluster of mountain tops that was submerged
in water when the last glaciers melted 14,000 years ago, are clustered
off the Northwest coast of Washington State,

The number of islands that make up the archipelago (which includes the
Golf Islands of British Columbia) is 786 at low tide and 457 at high tide.
Only 175 of the islands are named and 65 inhabited.

All of the San Juan Islands combined give San Juan County 375 miles
of saltwater shoreline. That’s more shoreline than any other
single county in the United States!
