Question: What is the best time of year to fish?

Answer: Sport fishing is available all year round in the San Juan's but the most species are available for catch in July through November. Click here for detailed info about what's available for sport fishing and what time of year to catch. Provided by Trophy Charters.

Answer: can pick one up at Eastsound Sporting Goods on Orcas (360. 376.5588) they have 2 day permits available for $8.00.

Question: When is opening day?

Answer: Fishing season opens April 30 on Cascade Lake.

In 2004 there were 20,000 cutthroat, 25,000 rainbow and 80,000 Kokanee trout planted in the lake. "The Kokanee will be ready to catch in 2007," said Park Manager Dennis Flowers.
